Search Incite Case Study: Identifying MD's who specialize in leukemia

Issue:
Client wanted identify influential cancer doctors who could evaluate and advocate their new leukemia drug.

Application:
Search Incite – MineTech analysts reviewed multiple sources to identify doctors who are influential leaders in the treatment of leukemia cancer. This was done to provide the client with a list of potential advocates for their new leukemia drug. Our analysts created cancer categories in Search Incite and then processed all of the MD information they collected to prioritize the list of doctors.  

Solution:
By creating multiple cancer categories in Search Incite, we were able to quickly scan, tag and categorize cancer doctors based on their work in the leukemia field. By evaluating the frequency of their publications, participation in clinical studies, number medical degrees and honors and number of hospitals they practice in, we were able to assign a potential MD index for the client’s consideration.
